Hello Orca Families, 

We have our second swim meet this week. The meet this week is being held at Fredericksburg Country Club. They have asked us not to arrive until 5:00pm. Our warm-ups are at 5:20. There will be cash only concessions. Please make sure that swimsuits and swim caps do not have other swim team names on them or schools. This is a violation of RSL league rules and can result in swimmers being disqualified from all their events. If you are still in need a team cap, we will have some at the meet. Please remember sunscreen, bug spray and lots of water.

We have also hit summer travel season and we do not have many swimmers attending this meet. If your swimmer is attending this meet you will be volunteering. With the few swimmers we have going this week, every family must work. We have counted and we have just enough families to fill every position, which means even if you have not done a training yet or signed up you will be volunteering for timing. Swim meets take a village. This is not a sport where you we can hang out and not pull your weight. Please keep in mind failure to fulfil your volunteer requirements will mean that your swimmers don't compete. This isn't us being mean, these are the league rules that our team must provide people at every meet. 

Please also remember even if your swimmer is not scheduled in a late relay, things often change with relays as the meet progresses so please speak with a coach before leaving. And if you have not downloaded the swimtopia app please do so. It will send reminders to you as kids are due to swim :-)
