Declare for 1st swim meet
Good Evening Orca Families,
We are fast approaching our first meet. The first meet is an away meet and is considered an exhibition meet. This meet is being held at College Heights pool and has a much earlier start time then our other meets due to them needing to finish the meet before the noise ordinance at 9:00pm. Our team warm-ups will begin at 4:30, and the meet will begin at 5:00pm. The home team has encouraged carpooling because there is very limited parking available. We understand the earlier start time may make it difficult for some families to attend this meet. I will share out some additional details closer to the meet, including a parking map.
What we need from our families is to declare whether or not they will be attending this meet by Sunday, June 8. We must know by then because we have to seed the meet and send in the file before the league deadline.
To declare for the meet:
- Go to https://carolineorcas.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
- Find the meet you are declaring for
- Click on the green "Meet Entry" button for that meet
- Your swimmer(s) will be listed and noted that they are "Not yet signed up for this meet"
- Click the "Edit" button
- Choose "Not attending this meet" if they will not be coming, or "Attending this meet" if they will be at the meet.
- Click "Save"
- The yellow box at the top of the screen will tell you how many open volunteer shifts there are still open. Remember families are required to work the meets their swimmers attend.
You can also do this in your swimtopia app. You will see a list of upcoming events, simply click on the event, meet signup and declare whether your swimmer is attending or not. If you do not declare your swimmer, we will not be seeding them in the meet. Thank you for your help and cooperation making sure we know if your swimmer is attending or not.
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to myself, Christina (our aquatics director), or Melissa (our Volunteer coordinator).
Regards,
Bonnie Fiefhaus
